It has a pleasingly full size for the era 36mm case.
Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a shapely stainless steel case, clean silver dial, and automatic caliber 752 movement used in Seamasters from the era. It's monococque or one-piece case originally helped it achieve a greater level of water-resistance.
Powering the watch is Omega's caliber 752 movement with twenty-four jewels (seven more than in many Seamaster versions from the period), day of the week indication, and a quick-setting date.
The 700 series has a direct lineage with the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly.
It has a cool retro style and great presence on the wrist - it's not your run of the mill De Ville from the era. Omega used its brand new-at-the-time slim automatic winding system which allowed the movement to fit into an elegant rectangular watch without it becoming to bulky.
It is fully Omega down to the original hands and winding crown and presents in mint condition. The dial is original and mint.
A Master Watchmaker has disassembled it down to its last screw and overhauled it. It winds smoothly and is running strong and incredibly true.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
